PURSES - Knit Patterns
This is the knit version of our pleated
felted bags. Crochet version available here.
DIMENSIONS
Pleats Purse I is wider than it is tall with an oval base. Finished
Size is 14.5” wide and 11” high or smaller, not including
strap. Includes instructions for clutch version.
Pleats Purse II is taller than it is wide
with a round base. Finished Size is 10” wide and 12”
high or smaller, excluding handles.
16” wide and 17” high, not
including strap, before felting; 14.5” wide and 11”
high, not including strap, after felting, band opening 10”
wide, after felting.
YARN
Approximately 669 yards of worsted
weight wool. Samples shown in Patons Classic Wool, 3 skeins
NEEDLES
Pleats Purse I requires two 29” or longer circular. size
10 (6 mm) needles. Pleats Purse II requires one 29” or longer
circular. size 10 (6 mm) needle and one set double-pointed needles
(dpn) US size 10 (6 mm).

14 sts and 18 rows = 4” in St st in the rnd.
